Ricky Gervais’s Office alter-ego David Brent is to hit the big-screen in the summer of 2016.
The egotistical manager, also known as the Brentmeister General, will star in his own film, Life On The Road, which follows his dreams to be a rock star.

Ricky’s character is already rocking a new look for the big screen, showing off a cool pose and suave outfit in the first image from the movie, which comes more than a decade after The Office ended on BBC Two.
Life On The Road, also written and directed by Ricky, sees David, now a sales rep and singer-songwriter for fledging band Foregone Conclusion, trying to fulfil his aspirations by going on a self-financed UK tour.

“I’m so excited that the world will see what David Brent is up to now and where his future lies,” Ricky said.
“This film delves much more into his private life than The Office ever did and we really get to peel back the layers of this extraordinary, ordinary man.”
The film will feature David’s songs such as Free Love Freeway and Equality Street, although fans will surely be hoping to see him show off his dance moves once again.
Life On The Road will be released in August 2016.
