Former Friends star Matt LeBlanc has revealed that the stars of the hit sitcom “scattered” after it ended.
The actor, who is returning to the small screen in the new series Episodes, said that even though he is still in touch with his former co-stars, including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Lisa Kudrow, he rarely sees them.
“It’s weird, when Friends ended, everyone kind of scattered,” he said.
“But then if you put six people in a building for 10 years with no windows and no one else to talk to and you open the door, they’re going to run away from each other.”
He added that filming Episodes came as a shock after a four-year hiatus from appearing on TV – largely due to the lack of studio audience.
“Making Friends was like being in a play,” Matt said.
“You’d rehearse all week, shoot on Friday nights in front of a live audience and you’d have to wait for the laughter to die down before you delivered the next line. Episodes is much more grounded in reality.
The series begins on BBC2 on Monday, January 10.
