Gary Barlow has vowed to have more fun in the upcoming series of The X Factor.
The Take That star is to return to the judging panel alongside Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh, with the fourth judge yet to be announced.
“I was asked to do this show again at the final last year. After a couple of weeks off I really missed it and thought, ‘I am definitely up for another run,'” he told The Sun.
“You are thrown in a lion pit, especially with the live shows – there’s a lot of pressure with those shows. I think it was tricky, but by the end I enjoyed it and thought, ‘I’ve gotta have more of this’,” he added.
Gary also admitted that there will be better talent on the show this year, following a meeting with the show’s creator Simon Cowell.
“We had a big review with Simon about the show and the acts. He says we’ve got to find more stars, we’ve got to develop them, we’ve got to look back at the tapes from last year and see if there are people we’ve missed,” he continued.
“It’s always about the talent and that’s the same reason I’m here, finding talent.”
Meanwhile, Tulisa – who found success with winning girl group Little Mix – said she’ll be taking the position in her stride.
“I’m definitely not going to try to do anything differently, but obviously I’ve matured in the past year. I just think I am going to be less worried about what people think,” she said.
