George Sampson has revealed he has renewed his contract on Waterloo Road.
The 16-year-old breakdancer, who won Britain’s Got Talent in 2008, will play a “troubled” sixth form student called Kyle Stack in the sixth series of BBC One drama, in episodes to be screened after Christmas.
“I’ve been there for three months now – I’ve signed another contract now so I’ll be doing it up until next year,” he said.
George – who also appears in StreetDance 3D with dance troupes Diversity and Flawless – added: “I’m loving it. The people are so nice as well.”
A spokesperson for the show said: “Kyle comes from a troubled background and will liven things up. He will be joining as a regular and could stick around for series seven.
“His first scenes will only be shown after Christmas, in the second half of series six.”
