Strictly Come Dancing pro Gorka Marquez has been pictured on social media looking happy and well after last weekend's assault
Strictly Come Dancing professional Gorka Marquez has thanked Blackpool Tower staff for sending him flowers after he was attacked in the seaside resort last weekend.
He added that he’s feeling better after the altercation, which left him suffering a facial injury, and had been back rehearsing for this weekend on the BBC show.
The professional dancer is said to have been beaten up by a gang of youths on a street, just hours after he took part in Saturday’s live show in Blackpool.

The Spaniard was reported to be undergoing dental surgery after having two teeth smashed.
But he appeared in a group shot with the other professional dancers from the show, looking happy and well.
Another shot showed him posing and smiling broadly with his pearly whites on show between dancers Neil Jones and Aljaz Skorjanec.

Gorka, 26, also shared a picture of a bouquet of flowers with a message from Blackpool Tower, along with which he wrote: “Thank you to everyone from @TheBplTower for the flowers!!! I’m feeling better and can’t wait to be dancing on Saturday!”
The hand-written message inside the bunch read: “Sending our best wishes for a speedy recovery, from Visit Blackpool and everyone at the Blackpool Tower.”
Earlier in the week he assured his fans that he was doing well, as he wrote on Twitter: “Thanks for all your kind messages and support about Blackpool.
