Graham Norton‘s chat show is to replace Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.
The Graham Norton Show will return on Friday October 22 for a 12-week run, featuring a whole host of celebrity guests.
The show started on BBC Two in 2007 before switching to BBC One in October last year.
Speaking at the Media Guardian International Television Festival, BBC One Controller, Jay Hunt, said: “Graham’s show has gone from strength to strength since moving to BBC One and I’m sure the audience will love his unique blend of comedy and entertainment on a Friday night.”
Responding to the announcement, Graham said: “I’m thrilled that BBC One like the show enough to move it to Fridays. It’s the night the show started on many years ago so it’s nice to be back.”
Jonathan announced at the beginning of the year he was leaving the BBC after 13 years, having decided not to renew his contract.
