Jeremy Clarkson's new motoring adventure series The Grand Tour is available now on Amazon Prime – and fans have responded with universal praise to the first episode
The Grand Tour’s debut episode received rave reviews when it premiered on Amazon Prime Video, but was constantly compared to the presenters’ former show Top Gear.
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May were praised for the opening episode, with viewers telling the BBC to ‘give up’ on the next series of Top Gear.
Celebrities and journalists led the way in praising the new show, with This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield saying it was worth the wait.
Watching right now!! So long in the delivery but SO worth it! There's money dripping from the screen & the boys are having a ball!! 😬😬#CARS https://t.co/x99G7TPYhp

Daily Express TV reporter Neela Debnath said the first episode resembled a ‘Hollywood blockbuster’, adding it was ‘basically like Top Gear on steroids”.
Her call was echoed by fans who stayed up late to watch the new show.
#TheGrandTour is everything I have wanted from this show and more. Amazon has given them free rein to make a better, more refined Top Gear.
