It’s been a busy few days for Holly Willoughby, who celebrated her 37th birthday with a huge rainbow birthday cake and glass of fizz live on This Morning earlier this week.
But the This Morning team weren’t the only colleagues that planned on spoiling Holly for her birthday, with the Dancing On Ice crew surprising the presenter backstage today with a special chocolate birthday cake.
Co-host Phil took the photo and captioned the shot on Snapchat, ‘Surprise cake from the DOI team.’
The TV star was seen smiling alongside pro skater Sylvain Longchambon, who presented her with the chocolate cake wrapped in a red ribbon.
This week is ‘love week’ for the Dancing On Ice hopefuls, who are bringing a little romance to the ice in a bid to impress the judges.
It’s been a dramatic build up to tonight’s episode, with many of the dancers falling ill in the run up to the show. Metro reported that a source said earlier this week, “It’s a race against time to get fit again ahead of this weekend’s show.
“Not a day goes by when there isn’t someone else being laid low. It has never happened this bad on the show, especially as it happened at the start of the show too.”
It was also uncertain whether Kem’s partner, Alex Murphy, would be able to perform, after she injured her ankle earlier this week.
“This is a nightmare for Kem and Alex,” a source told the Daily Star. “They’d worked really hard on their routine for this week’s show but now everything is hanging in the balance.”
Meanwhile, Antony Cotton, who suffered two fractured two ribs from a fall on the ice last month, has now recovered and is ready to impress the judges. For ‘love week’, Antony dedicated his dance to the armed forces.
Dressed up as a soldier, he certainly looks the part, and his skate tells a beautiful wartime story.
