There's trouble for Coronation Street favourite David Platt next week when he is confronted by a ghost from his past...
Next week’s Coronation Street will see David Platt come face-to-face with his attacker Josh Tucker while they’re both in prison.
Soap fans will remember that Josh drugged and raped David in March last year, leaving him a shadow of his former self after realising what had happened.
But while David bravely found the strength to eventually talk about his harrowing ordeal with girlfriend Shona and also the police, it seems history might be repeating itself for Josh as he is back in jail.
Next week sees trouble start for David when out of the blue, Max’s grandma Marion arrives to see Shona and reveals that Max has been regularly visiting her.
And things don’t look good for the family when an agreement between Max and Lily turns sinister when Harry is knocked unconscious and an ambulance has to be called.
However, things only get worse for David when he then is confronted by Josh in prison.
The official website for Coronation Street has revealed: “David’s day goes from bad to worse when he goes to the medical wing for his medication.
“He’s horrified to spot a bloodied and bruised Josh waiting to get treatment.”
Has Josh sexually abused someone else and ended up in jail, or is he in prison for something else entirely?
With his injuries looking serious, it seems he has already made enemies in prison… but will David use this chance to get revenge on Josh?
Or will he spend his time avoiding his attacker as much as possible?
It has been reported that there is a prison riot on the cards in the coming weeks, in which rapist Josh finds himself stabbed. But the big question is – could David be the one to stab him?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
