You won’t see X Factor judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl, Mel B and Louis Walsh more unimpressed than they are when party girl Ten Senah staggers into her audition.
Ten had been partying all night and admitted she “might still be a bit drunk”.
“What do you do?” Simon asked her, when she was finally ready.
“I party” she says. “I do what I want, when I want, with who I want.”
“How did you prepare for audition?” Simon asked.
“I haven’t slept yet,” Ten admits. “ Manchester is amazing so I went out and didn’t get back until about four in the morning and then I thought, ‘Ah, f*** it!’ and didn’t sleep.”
So far, so bad…
“I’m going to do an original song called 15 Minutes,” she says. “It’s about kicking out a lowdown, dirty dog,”
“Best of luck,” said Simon, rolling his eyes… And then he stops Ten before she has finished singing.
“I did like the original song, I have to say,” Simon tells her.
“I think you’ve got potential,” says Cheryl, “but I wouldn’t show up to my first audition having partied all night and not slept.”
“I think Cheryl’s absolutely right,” adds Simon. “You’ve almost thrown your talent away.”
“I’m not sure you’re taking the whole thing seriously,” says Louis, looking very serious. “It’s not about partying, it’s about working hard.”
“I think you’re probably still a little bit drunk and I don’t mind that,” adds Mel. “I don’t think we’ve heard the best of your voice but you can sing.”
“Can I be honest with you?” says Simon. “If you want to be a backing vocalist, party on. You want to be a singer, you’ve got to take it seriously.”
Were the judges prepared to give Ten another chance?
