Filming has begun on the sixth series of Hustle, it has been confirmed.
Adrian Lester will return as master con artist Mickey ‘Bricks’ Stone, when the drama returns to BBC1 next year.
And Robert Vaughn and Robert Glenister will be back as fan favourites Albert Stroller and Ash Morgan, respectively.
The drama, which follows the exploits of the team of grifters, has proved a huge hit with an average audience of six million viewers tuning into series five earlier this year.
Polly Hill, BBC commissioning editor of independent drama, said: “Last series saw the return of Adrian Lester as Mickey which made a big impact, with an average of six million viewers.
“We are thrilled that this gang are back and Tony Jordan’s wonderful scripts ensure this show remains a favourite with the BBC One drama audience.”
Hustle is currently filming in Birmingham and London for transmission on BBC1 in early 2010.
