The X Factor finalist Cher Lloyd, who got the boot in the first part of this weekend’s final, has reportedly claimed that she did not want to win the show.
The Sunday Mirror claims that the feisty teenager – who was eliminated on Saturday night after receiving the lowest number of public votes – said afterwards, “You haven’t seen the last of me, definitely not.
“I’m going to use this as my platform and I’m going to make sure I’m the biggest goddamn thing ever to come out of The X Factor. And that’s not being cocky; it’s just being very very committed to what I do.”
During her time on the show Cher had gained a reputation for outbursts and tantrums backstage – and during one rehearsal this week allegedly accused staff of wanting her out.
“I didn’t want to win anyway,” she reportedly told them. “I’m going to make it anyway. You lot have wanted me out from the beginning, all of you have.”
The 17-year-old also told a press conference two days before the final that she did not think she would win the show.
However she took the defeat graciously on stage, saying that duetting with Black Eyed Peas star Will I Am had been the highlight of her X Factor experience.
Rebecca Ferguson, Matt Cardle and One Direction will battle it out in Sunday’s grand final for the series title.
Early viewing figures suggest that a record 20m viewers tuned in to Saturday’s show.
