It's nearly jungle o'clock!
I’m A Celebrity 2018 will open on Sunday November 18th, ITV has revealed, with the first episode of the reality classic scheduled at nearly two hours long!
With Ant McPartlin not heading out to Australia, his regular presenting buddy Declan Donnelly will this time by teaming up with This Morning favourite Holly Willoughby.
The first episode of I’m A Celeb will air at 9pm and then it will be stripped across the week on ITV.
Among the stars rumoured to be taking part this year are Anne Hegerty, aka The Governess in The Chase, football manager Harry Redknapp, Coronation Street actress Sair Khan, who plays Alya Nazir in the soap, and DIY SOS host Nick Knowles.
Other stars who might be taking part in the famed Bushtucker Trials include Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway, ex-Coronation Street favourite Shayne Ward and former top tennis star Tim Henman.
ITV still have yet to officially announce the line-up, so expect a few surprise names!
The ratings for the new series of I’m A Celebrity are likely to be under extra scrutiny as the media waits to see whether the show will suffer a dip because Ant isn’t in the jungle.
Holly sounds up for the challenge, saying at the time it was announced she’d got the job: “I couldn’t be more excited to have been asked to stand alongside Dec for the next jungle adventure. I love Ant and want to send him my best wishes and support for a continued recovery.
“These are big shoes, not to fill, but just to keep warm for a little bit… Honestly, I’m a fan of I’m a Celebrity and actually feel like I’ve won a competition to go and hang out on my favourite show! When is it a good time to tell Dec I’m scared of everything that moves?!”
And Holly later revealed that she consulted with Ant before agreeing to take the job and he was “happy” about her taking over.
