Blake Harrison is to star in new comedy drama Edge Of Heaven on ITV.
The 27-year-old Inbetweeners star, famed for his role as daft teenager Neil Sutherland, takes the lead part of Alfie in the new series, according to the broadcaster.
Edge Of Heaven is set in Margate’s finest 1980s inspired B&B, run by Alfie, his sister and their parents.
Playing Alfie’s sister is Louisa Lytton, best known as Ruby Allen in EastEnders. Their parents are played by Him And Her’s Camille Coduri and Nitin Kundra (Steel River Blues). The cast also includes Gavin And Stacey’s Adrian Scarborough and Some Girls’ Justine Michelle Cain.
Myfanwy Moore, commissioning editor of comedy at ITV, said: “We’re delighted to be able to book into the Edge Of Heaven B&B alongside such a great ensemble cast of larger than life characters. We hope their lives and loves will win them a place in our viewers’ hearts.”
ITV have commissioned six hour-long episodes which are due to begin filming in August.
