David’s car is hauled from the canal and Gail fears the worst.
‘Mommie dearest…’ Earlier, an isolated David writes a suicide letter.
Sarah’s horrified when she finds the letter…
But she’s determined that nothing will ruin her wedding, so she rips it up!
David’s strategy hasn’t worked. The destroyed note means no one, apart from Sarah, knows what he plans.
So he leaves one last twisted message on Gail’s phone.
David reverses his car out to get a good run-up to the canal…
And then guns his engine and speeds off towards the canal…
And hits the water at high speed.
No one, not even the demonic David, could have survived that impact – could they?
Meanwhile, Jason and Sarah start to exchange vows, while Gail is unaware of the canal drama.
Is it finally going to happen after all this time?
The police arrive at the church. There’s some bad news for Gail…
Gail approaches Jason and Sarah before they’ve completed their vows.
‘Sarah, you have to stop…’ Gail reveals that the police have found David’s car.
‘Sarah, they’re right. We can’t get married like this!’
Maria’s conscience gets to her. As Gail goes with the police, she rushes to tell them about the note.
The emergency crew is at work when Gail, Audrey and Bill arrive.
David’s car is hauled from the bottom of the canal.
But there’s no sign of a body…
How could he have done this… on Sarah’s wedding day?!
Audrey drags a distraught Gail away from the scene.
There’s nothing you can do here…
