Is the Spice Girls reunion fracturing already?

There are reports that the Spice Girls reunion is anything but the happy get-together the group members have been desperate to portray.

The People reports that Geri Halliwell is upset that she will earn less than the others because she left the Spice Girls in 1998.

As well, there is a big rift over artistic differences between Geri and Victoria Beckham, never the closest of friends.

A source said: “Geri said she hates the songs the Spice Girls wrote after she left and insisted they go back to the old formula and brash style, but Posh said no way.”

Apparently Posh believes their act should reflect the fact they’re older and classier, whereas Geri wants to keep it raw and kitsch.

At Thursday’s press conference, Posh said of Geri: “She is just appreciative that we let her back in the band.”

It remains to be seen whether the feisty five can keep it together for their extremely lucrative world tour later this year.
