James Corden has announced that his comedy-thriller The Wrong Mans will be back for a second series.

The actor co-wrote the hit series with his co-star Mathew Baynton and both tweeted after its final episode to say that The Wrong Mans would be back again, although the BBC has not officially announced that it will be recommissioned.

James tweeted: “Waking up to so many incredible messages about The Wrong Mans. So very sweet. They’ll be back. Thanks for watching, it means the world x.”

Mathew wrote: “Sam and Phil will be back #TheWrongMans.”

The Wrong Mans stars James and Mathew as a postroom work and a council office employee who get embroiled in a deadly kidnap plot when they answer a call not meant for them.

The series ended after six episodes on BBC Two this week.
