An official announcement about a third series of BBC 2’s The Fall has yet to be made. But in the meantime, series star, Jamie Dornan is leaving behind his twisted serial killer character, Paul Spector to appear on the big screen in Fifty Shades Of Grey.
Jamie plays hunky billionaire, Christian Grey in the big screen adaptation of the bestselling sexy novel by E.L James, which is due for release just in time for Valentine’s Day. The film’s soundtrack album includes tracks from the likes of Beyonce, Jessie Ware, Ellie Goulding and Sia. But despite the big budget launch, Jamie admits he’s nervous of the reaction from obsessed fans of the book.
“I almost don’t want to put this out there into the ether,” says Jamie. “Because a lot of people are very angry that I’m playing this character.”
Jamie, who took over the role from Sons Of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam, is also slightly worried about how his performance will be received once director, Sam Taylor-Johnson’s film is released.
“Some people will think it’s cool and sexy, some people will think the polar opposite. There will be people who think I’m terrible without even seeing the film!” he said.
