Speculation over whether The Fall will be back again has finally been answered – the drama series will return for a third and final series, and it will include Jamie Dornan.
Jamie may have hit it big in Hollywood following his recent role in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey, but he will be seen back on the BBC series as a sexual attacker and serial killer for one final run.
A trailer on the BBC’s YouTube channel confirms that the show, which also stars Gillian Anderson as detective Stella Gibson trying to bring Jamie’s character Paul Spector to justice, has got another series.
However, it gives no details as to what will happen next as the only action shown is the final moments of series two, when Spector appeared to be dying in Stella’s arms after being shot.
The video caption reads: “Jamie Dornan returns for a third series of The Fall, only on BBC Two.”

The Fall creator Allan Cubitt previously told The Guardian: “The cliffhanger ending of season two was conceived in the hope of further exploring the characters and the themes that are at the heart of The Fall.”
No premiere date has been announced yet for series three of The Fall.
