Jamie Oliver will rustle up some classic comfort food for a new Channel 4 programme.
The series, which will screen later this year, has the working title Jamie’s Comfort Food and will see the award-winning chef give his own unique spin to a variety of traditional and nostalgic British dishes from hearty meals and delicious puddings to perfect recipes to eat outside.
Filmed in the kitchen of Jamie’s Essex home, the series will also offer tips and hints for creating food that evokes memories of childhood, holidays or special occasions.
“The series will be an indulgent mouthwatering treat as we see Jamie take on the nation’s favourite dishes and make them even better. We can’t wait to see what he comes up with,” says the channel’s Features Commissioning Editor Nick Hornby.
A second run of Jamie’s Money Saving Meals, which highlights a range of recession-busting recipes, is also set to screen later this spring on Channel 4.
