The X Factor contestants will be singing the hits of George Michael and Wham! this week – and it looks like twins John and Edward will be performing Wham Rap!

Simon Cowell has chosen for the remaining six acts to cover songs by 80s dance group Wham!, whose hits include I’m Your Man, Last Christmas, Wake Me Up Before You Go Go and Club Tropicana.

Contestants will also be able to pick from George Michael’s solo hits such as Praying For Time and I Can’t Make You Love Me.

The Sun reports that John and Edward – nicknamed Jedward – are set to reprise their rapping for a second week running when they perform the Wham! Rap.

Last weekend saw the Irish twins put singing to one side to prove their hip-hop credentials by slipping into a version of Vanilla Ice’s biggest hit Ice Ice Baby.

The newspaper reports that the decision to sing Wham! songs was made at the last minute by Simon, who had previously been considering featuring the work of Elton John.

Mariah Carey and Susan Boyle will sing on Sunday night’s results show, but an X Factor spokeswoman could not confirm if George Michael will make a surprise guest appearance.

It has also been confirmed that Rihanna and Alicia Keys will be performing live on The X Factor on Sunday November 29.

Rihanna will perform her new single Russian Roulette taken from her new album Rated R, and Alicia will perform Doesn’t Mean Anything from her album The Element of Freedom.
