Jo Wood: ‘Strictly’s tougher than childbirth’

Jo Wood thinks competing on Strictly Come Dancing is even harder than childbirth.

The 54-year-old model – the estranged wife of Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood – has given birth to three children but told Closer magazine that the TV dance show is the “hardest thing” she’s ever done.

She added: “Even childbirth was easier – at least my children arrived quickly!”

She continued: “I’m finding it a bit like going back to school.”

Jo also revealed she thinks her dance partner Brendan Cole has the patience of a saint.

She said: “Sometimes I wonder if he’s thinking, ‘Oh my God, this woman is a joke!’ But he never gets cross. Yesterday, my mind went blank and I had no idea what I was doing, but he managed to stay patient. I had a good cry!”

And she joked that there might even have been a romance if she and Brendan had been closer in age, laughing: “If he were 10 years older and I were 10 years younger, it might just work.”
