Reality TV star Katie Price and her husband Alex Reid have been questioned by police about an argument over a disabled parking space, according to reports.

Katie, whose seven-year-old son Harvey is disabled, is alleged to have become involved in the row on Good Friday after Alex parked in a disabled bay at Goldstone Retail Park in Hove, Sussex.

The Celebrity Big Brother winner was confronted by a woman and her partner who objected to them using the space.

Sussex police were called to the ensuing disturbance but said the fight was verbal rather than physical – despite reports in the News Of The World suggesting that Katie slapped away a mobile from one of the pensioners when he tried to call the police.

“Sussex Police attended the Goldstone Retail Park in Hove at around 1.30pm on Good Friday afternoon following reports of an argument between two men,” said a police spokesman.

“It would appear that a dispute had arisen over the occupation of a disabled parking bay and also involved the partner of one of the men and the wife of the other.”

No arrests have been made or charges brought, and inquiries into the incident are ongoing.

Police said that it was not known if any of Katie’s children were present during the argument or whether the couple who challenged them were disabled.
