Keith Lemon is set to host the newly revived series Through The Keyhole, with the approval of previous hosts Sir David Frost and Loyd Grossman.

The comedy alter-ego of funnyman Leigh Francis will follow in their footsteps to take a tour of homes of the rich and famous, exploring every nook and cranny so the three celebrity panellists can identify the mystery owner.

“When I was a young lad, all I wanted to be when I grew up was the boyfriend of Patsy Kensit, Kylie Minogue, or Belinda Carlisle. Be part of the A-Team, go back to the future or be the host of Through The Keyhole. Well, one of those dreams has come true!” said Keith.

“Not only am I the host of Keyhole, I’ll be going round the houses like Loyd Grossman, but with better shoes. I honestly can’t wait!”

Sir David, host of the original TV series, added: “I am delighted that the Keyhole format is now entering its fourth decade on TV. I know the pilot show went down very well with the studio audience and I wish Keith and his team the very best of luck for the series.”

Loyd also said: “Keith has definitely put a new spin on a very well-established, much-loved format. He has given Through The Keyhole a contemporary twist, but preserved the spirit and intention of the original programme. The series has contemporary entertainment values, whilst still retaining the parts we all loved of the original – namely the fascinating insights into people’s lives!”

The six episodes of the hour-long Through the Keyhole series is expected to screen on ITV later this year.
