Former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland has reealed she will be the new judge on The X Factor, taking Dannii Minogue’s place on the panel.
Kelly said: “The X Factor is an amazing show. I love Simon because he’s so honest. Everything he says I agree with.”
“I don’t know what kind of judge I’ll be,” she added.
The Sun reports that Kelly, 30, is set to sign her deal within the next few days. N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos – who bosses want to replace Cheryl Cole – also held further discussions this week.
The two singers are set to join original judge Louis Walsh and Take That star Gary Barlow – who won a £1.5million deal – on the revamped panel.
Dannii quit The X Factor over a clash with her commitments on Australia’s Got Talent.
Kelly rose to fame as a member of Destiny’s Child and has also been a successful solo artist, most notably teaming up with rapper Nelly for the 2002 chart-topper Dilemma.
“Kelly was always the one with the best sense of humour in Destiny’s Child,” a source told The Sun. “She’ll be a great addition to the show.”
