Reality TV star Kerry Katona has given birth to a baby boy after going into labour five weeks early.
Maxwell, who weighed 5lbs 4oz, was born on Friday afternoon at Macclesfield General Hospital.
The former Atomic Kitten singer – currently starring in her own reality show on MTV – already has three daughters, six-year-old Molly, five-year-old Lilly Sue and baby Heidi, who was born last year.
“We can’t wait to get him home,” Kerry said. “It’s a beautiful boy to go with our three girls.”
Baby Max’s early arrival followed a health scare a couple of weeks earlier when Kerry was taken to hospital with suspected pre-eclampsia. However tests showed an iron deficiency and water retention.
The baby was reportedly named after PR guru Max Clifford, according to the Mirror. Clifford told the paper he was “very proud”.
“I think the world of Kerry,” he said. “She’s almost like another daughter to me.”
“It’s been a scary time, a real rollercoaster,” he added, “but now everything is great. I imagine she will stay in for checks but will hopefully be home soon.”
