Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall has revealed she is hopeful there will be a sequel to the hit movie next year.

During an appearance on The Paul O’Grady Show on Wednesday, the 52-year-old actress said: “We will do the sequel next summer.”

But the BBC reports that she said it was “difficult getting everybody who’s so incredibly busy all together at the same time”.

But Kim said that all of the stars of the Sex and the City: The Movie – Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis – had been committed to the first film and were planning to do it again.

She said: “We wanted to the first time, and now we’re hopefully doing it again for the second time.”

Rumours of a rift between Kim and the rest of the SATC cast had plagued the set of the original film, but Sarah Jessica Parker rejected the claims in May.

The actress told BBC talk show host Jonathan Ross that she “loved those women”, and said there was no truth that there was a feud between them.
