Irish TV presenter Laura Whitmore has revealed she's joining Ed Balls and Will Young on Strictly Come Dancing
Laura Whitmore is the third celebrity contestant confirmed to compete in Strictly Come Dancing.
The Irish TV presenter joins former shadow chancellor Ed Balls and singer Will Young, who were announced earlier this week.
Laura, 31, joined Nick Grimshaw live on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show for the announcement.
She said: “I’ve known for a while now but it’s just so secretive.”
She revealed everyone has a Shakespearian ‘code name’, and that she had chosen Lady Macbeth.
In a statement Laura said: “I have watched Strictly and been obsessed with the show since series 1. It’s an incredible show and I feel so honoured to be asked to be part of it. I’m not going to lie, I’m slightly petrified too!”
Strictly 2016 will premiere in September.
