Leona Lewis reportedly wants to collaborate with Coldplay.
The former X Factor winner – whose cover of Snow Patrol’s Run scored her her latest No 1 – wants her new album to have more rock tracks, The Sun reports.
A source said: “Leona would love to work with Coldplay and knows Chris Martin likes her voice.
“She would love to sing a duet with him. If not, maybe he could write a song for her. Chris is open to all kinds of music and isn’t at all snobby about what some see as cheesy pop.”
Coldplay frontman Chris recently told The Daily Mirror: “Leona is phenomenal. She is world class, that girl. We saw her singing in LA – she’s as good as anybody and I’ve got nothing but respect for her”.
But the 31-year-old Fix You singer – who is married to Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow – revealed his favourite female chart topper is another X Factor star, judge Cheryl Cole and her band, who are supporting Coldplay on their 2009 UK stadium tour.
Chris said: “Girls Aloud are my favourite girls in the world, aside from my wife and daughter, of course! But they definitely come third to eighth.
“I chose them for the tour because I was pretty sure if people knew they were doing a gig with us they’d think that was great. I’m definitely thinking about doing a cover of a Girls Aloud song”.
