X Factor reject Lloyd Daniels has revealed he felt relieved when he performed following his elimination on Sunday night as he was not being judged any more.

Speaking on ITV1’s This Morning on Monday, Lloyd told Holly Willoughby: “I think it was the fact that I wasn’t getting judged on it and I just felt more comfortable really.”

“I had been in the bottom two twice… and Louis Walsh had been a bit [mean] but backstage every week he would say ‘I’m so sorry’. But I can’t please everyone and Louis was one of the ones I didn’t please!”

He also insisted that he was treated ‘fairly’ by judge and mentor Cheryl Cole, despite her close relationship with fellow contestant Joe McElderry.

Lloyd said: “I’ve been asked a couple of times about this now, but literally she was fair on both sides and we’d spend a lot of time in her dressing room just talking and going over songs.

“She worked really really hard with me and Joe is an amazing guy, he’s got such an awesome voice.”

And he tipped the Geordie to win the competition, adding: “Joe is vocally amazing, he’s pitch perfect all the time and I think he deserves to win. Well, I want team Cheryl to do well as well so I hope he does win!”
