Louise Redknapp still ‘dreams’ of West End career

Louise Redknapp has revealed she dreams of starring in a West End show.

The former pop singer – who has two sons with husband Jamie – attended stage school from the age of 11 and admitted she would still love a role on the London stage.

She said: “I still have a dream of appearing on the West End, which was the ultimate pinnacle when I was a kid at stage school.

“I miss singing and performing terribly and I feel I don’t want to lose it for ever. Now the children are getting older and I have more time for myself, it might be time to look at that goal again.”

After finishing a two-year stint as a presenter on BBC Two’s Something For The Weekend in December, Louise is just about to branch out into business by launching her own make-up brand.

“Sometimes I feel my feet are hardly touching the ground and I’m running around all day, every day, but secretly I like it like that,” said the model and TV presenter.

“I like the feeling that I can stand on my own two feet, work and look after my family – it makes me feel fulfilled. I was brought up by my parents to be a grafter and worked from a very young age. I learnt early on that you don’t get something for nothing.”
