Mark Wright has said that he has imposed a dating ban upon himself in order to keep the female contestants from Take Me Out at bay, as he prepares for his new role hosting its spin-off show.
The former TOWIE star – who recently finished runner-up in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here – is co-hosting Take Me Out: The Gossip on ITV2, in which couples who get together on the show will reveal all about their date.
However he has warned female contestants not to use him as a shoulder to cry on if they don’t land a man on the show.
“Take Me Out girls may be looking for Mr Right – but it’s not Mark Wright,” he told The Sun.
“I’m single but there is no way I am dating anyone from the show. I am working and I’m too professional. It’s not happening.”
The show is Mark’s first proper presenting job since a stint in Dubai fronting a fitness feature for Daybreak, and he admitted, “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous.
“I’ll be honest, it’s a brand new show so there is a bit of pressure,” he added.
“But it’s going to be good fun. We will get funny stories — you will have to watch to see what they are!”
