Remember when ex-EastEnders star Martine McCutcheon was a popstar back in the late 90s? Guess what, she's been back in the recording studio!
After returning to our screens as a regular panelist on ITV’s Loose Women and reuniting with Hugh Grant for the Comic Relief special, Red Nose Day, Actually, Martine McCutcheon is getting ready to release her first album of new material in almost 15 years.
Martine has been teasing news of her return to music since last year and it now looks like the album will be released towards the summer.
“OMG!! Just heard 3 finished tracks from my new album and I’m bursting at the seams for you to hear it,” Martine recently posted on Instagram. “Musically it’s the most honest I’ve ever been and a hell of a lot has gone on in my life over the last few years so it’s a bit scary. But goodness me I’m so proud.”
After being killed-off as EastEnders favourite Tiffany Mitchell in 1998, Martine went on to top the charts with her first single, Perfect Moment.
She then released three studio albums between 1999 and 2002.
But after taking a break from showbiz for a while to enjoy life with her husband Jake and their young son Rafferty, it looks like Martine is ready to rock the mic all over again!
