The Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry has signed up to present a new six-part series for BBC2 – Foolproof Cooking.

The concept is ‘making delicious food simple’, according to the BBC.

No matter how hard a dish may seem, Mary has a way to make it foolproof, and across six episodes she shares her secrets and reveals recipes guaranteed to help in any culinary situation. From feeding the family to impressing friends, from busy days when time is scarce to finding comfort on those more gloomy days, Mary has a trusted recipe that will never let her fans down.

BBC commissioning editor Tom Edwards said: “Mary is one of the ultimate icons of cookery programming and it’s a delight to serve her latest offering to a BBC Two audience. This series connects with something that is essential to Mary – delicious food, made fool proof.”

Foolproof Cooking will include recipes, technical tips and trips to the best suppliers and producers – featuring her remarkably adept adept approach to crayfishing! – plus some of Mary’s memories of her life, family and friends.
