Mel B, Jason Gardiner and Wayne Sleep will judge the celebrity couples in ITV’s new dance show, premiering this Saturday.

Ex Spice Girl Mel B said: “I absolutely love the sound of this show, it’s going to be very entertaining. Real-life couples trying to learn a new dance routine in a week? You’re just asking for trouble. I can’t wait to get back in the UK with this hot new show – we’re going to have a great time.”

Stepping Out is a six-part series hosted by Davina McCall in which six celebrity pairs, including Denise Welch, Glynis Barber, Laurence Llewellyn Bowen and their real life partners, put their relationships to the ultimate test… by learning to dance.

During each live show, the couples will perform a dance routine they’ve learnt together during the week and will be judged by Mel, Jason and Wayne, who will also offer feedback and give individual ‘him and hers’ scores.

“Unlike other dance shows a professional won’t partner our celebrities. Instead they will have to rely on their real life partners! Oh dear! The pressure will be on for the celebrities and their relationships to deliver on the night in front of the British public and yours truly, of course!” said Jason Gardiner, previously a judge on Dancing on Ice

Ballet legend Wayne Sleep adds: “What a joy this show is going to be, I love everything dance and seeing our couples try and master a new routine every week is going to be a treat. I have high hopes for them… What could possibly go wrong?!”
