Nancy Dell’Olio is among the stars who will take part in next year’s Strictly Come Dancing tour.

The Italian businesswoman, who was given a pasting from judges for her efforts, was axed from the BBC One show just under a fortnight ago.

She will be joined by other contestants including Jason Donovan and Chelsee Healey – who have been scoring consistently high marks – on the tour which begins in January.

Nancy, who was regularly spotted counting her steps as she tried to tackle her routines, said: “I am really excited to be part of the tour.

“I enjoyed every moment of my time on the show and it is great I now get to continue with my new-found passion.”

The judging panel will feature Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood, who also directs the arena tour for the second year running.

The five-week tour begins on January 20 at Birmingham’s National Indoor Arena.

It then heads to Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena, London’s Wembley Arena and O2 Arena, Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena, Manchester’s MEN Arena, Liverpool’s Echo Arena, Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena, Glasgow’s SECC, Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena, Dublin’s O2 Arena and the Belfast Odyssey.

Tickets went on sale in September. Further guest stars and the line-up of professionals will be announced at a later date.
