Nicole Scherzinger has said she hasn’t yet been asked back for the next instalment of The X Factor.

The X Factor judge and former Pussycat Doll excelled on last year’s ITV show with two of her boys – James Arthur and Jahmene Douglas – in the final.

She told radio station Kiss about her possible return: “I don’t know. We haven’t had the conversation yet. They have got to ask me. I don’t know.

“I had the best time. I’m not going to lie, I had the best memories.”

Nicole revealed that while some of her famous made-up words like ‘shamazing’ were spur of the moment, when she judged the show with Tulisa Contostavlos, Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow, others were dreamt up at home.

She said she wouldn’t rule out the Pussycat Dolls getting back together, but she wanted to concentrate on her solo material for now.

“I don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible some time in the future. Right now I’m really excited about all the hard work I’ve put into my music, to get that out right now… It’s about the music that I believe in right now.”
