Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb | Film review – The exhibits spring to life for one last hurrah

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: : Secret of the Tomb - Dan Stevens, Ben Stiller

The museum exhibits spring into action for more crazy nocturnal adventures in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, the third and final instalment of the breezy, bonkers fantasy-comedy series. But the Egyptian relic that brings the exhibits to life is losing power and only a trip to London and the British Museum can keep the magic going. Ben Stiller’s night watchman is back, as are Steve Coogan’s snooty Roman centurion, Ricky Gervais’s pompous museum director and Robin Williams’ President Teddy Roosevelt (one of the star’s final roles). Look out, though, for scene-stealing new addition Dan Stevens, showing his silly side as a comic Sir Lancelot and running off with the film.

Certificate PG. Runtime 98 mins. Director Shawn Levy.

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb is available on Blu-ray, DVD & Digital from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
