Cheryl Cole would be ‘a big hit’ in the United States if she joined the American version of X Factor, according to Piers Morgan.
The singer’s representatives are keeping tight-lipped over reports she will appear as a panellist on the US show, but Piers backed her to succeed.
He said: “I think she would be very successful. She’s got everything that you need in America. She is hard-working, she looks great, she is charismatic on screen and she knows her stuff. She won her spurs on X Factor so I think she will be a big hit there.”
It has been reported Cheryl is in talks to reprise her role when Simon Cowell launches the talent contest across the Atlantic next year but her spokesman would not comment.
Piers, who appeared as a judge on America’s Got Talent, is about to get an even higher profile in the US when he takes over CNN legend Larry King’s chat show in the new year.
