The Great British Bake Off will return to TV screens on August 24, three days after the end of the Rio Olympic Games.
The popular BBC One show will once again be judged by Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry, and Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc will return as hosts.
The 2015 series was won by Nadiya Hussain.
A total of 15.1 million viewers tuned in to watch Hussain, 31, being named as the winner.
The show announced earlier in the year that viewers will get a double festive helping, as two Christmas specials are planned.
Hollywood and Berry will welcome back four bakers from previous series for each episode to take on seasonal challenges.
