The second series of BBC One’s period crime drama Ripper Street will be back on screens this Monday at 9pm.
Matthew MacFadyen, Jerome Flynn and Adam Rothenberg will be back as East End crime-fighting trio Reid, Drake and Jackson, with the action moving forwards to 1890.
New cast faces and guest stars this series will include Game Of Thrones’ Paul Kaye and Joseph Mawle, Breaking Bad star David Costabile, Being Human’s Damien Molony, Coupling actress Gina Bellman and Doctor Who’s Neve McIntosh.
The Elephant Man will also feature in the first two episodes of the series.
Matthew recently said: “It’s fantastic to be reunited with much of the wonderful cast and crew from last year. Also to be reunited with my bowler hat – I’d missed it.
“The show’s creator Richard Warlow has given us wonderful, strange and unsettling episodes, teeming with the fierce and fragile life of Victorian Whitechapel.”
