Rita Ora has revealed she’s a big fan of her X Factor co-judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.

Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, the former judge on The Voice said of her new colleague: “I didn’t [know Cheryl before the show] but I wish I did, she’s so sweet.”

The Poison singer explained how the new judges had bonded, saying: “I got to meet her when we had a separate meeting with the new line-up – me, Grimmy and Cheryl.

“It was a really amazing catch-up, no pressure, we had a drink and it just felt really natural.”

The 24-year-old also hinted that she would return to the role of Mia Grey in the sequels of the Fifty Shades movie trilogy, admitting she was a ‘massive fan’ of the books.

“If they do ask me, of course I’ll be there,” she promised.

Rita makes an appearance in new film Southpaw as a drug addict named Maria Escobar – but was shocked when the film crew saw her without make-up and assumed she was ready for filming.

The singer revealed: “I went on set and I’d just woke up, and I went into the make-up trailer and said, ‘I’m ready to get ready!’

“They’re like, ‘They’re ready for you on set’ but I said, ‘I’m not ready! My role is a drug addict, I haven’t had any make-up!’

“They were like, ‘You haven’t?’ I was like, ‘Oh my God, no I have not!’”

The X Factor will screen on ITV soon.

Southpaw opened in UK cinemas on July 24.
