Robbie Williams is set to join The X Factor panel as a guest judge as the search for a permanent replacement for Kelly Rowland continues.
The Take That singer, who is likely to appear at the London auditions, is one of a number of big names tipped to appear on the panel.
Veteran singer Rod Stewart has also reportedly signed up for a guest stint, with No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani and rapper Tinie Tempah among other names who have been tipped to take part.
“There is always a buzz in the air when Gary and Robbie get together,” a source told the Daily Star. “This could save us.
“Obviously we love Gary, Tulisa and Louis but we wanted to kick next week off with a bang and get everyone talking.”
It would not be the first time Robbie has taken part in The X Factor after he helped Gary mentoring his boys in the last series. He also duetted with Olly Murs in the 2009 final.
Show producers are reportedly turning to guest judges after Dannii Minogue turned down a deal to return to the panel – leaving them just days to find a replacement judge before auditions kick off in Liverpool.
