Rylan Clark has made his X Factor comeback with a peformance which proved to be one of the highlights of the final.

The singer-turned TV presenter – who finished fifth in the 2012 series – took to the stage as one of a number of ‘novelty’ acts who gave a group performance during Saturday night’s show.

He donned a tiny crop top and skinny silver jeans to give his rendition of the Spice Girls’ Spice Up Your Life – backed by a troupe of equally flamboyant-looking dancers.

Rylan was joined on stage by a host of memorable names, including Wagner, 2 Shoes and Diva Fever.

Another of the more offbeat performers, Kitty Brucknell, flew through Wembley Arena clinging on to a giant disco ball.

And Jedward also showed up to deliver a rousing rendition of their hit Ice Ice Baby (Under Pressure).

While Rylan lost out to James Arthur in 2012, he went on to win Celebrity Big Brother and become a TV presenter.

He is due to return as host of Celebrity Big Brother show Bit On the Side when it returns to screens in January.
