It was a Monday night of high kicks and heartache for the Brits in Dancing With the Stars. Mel B remained a hit with the judges with her jive, while Jane Seymour dedicated her tango to the memory of her late mother.
For the second week running, Scary Spice scored highly with the judges – this time for her fast-paced routine.
Mel explained after the show how the ‘exhausting’ training with dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy was paying off: “We’re pretty flexible, but we work hard everyday without fail.”
Speaking after the show aired, Mel revealed she was taking everything in her stride – being a new mum, reforming a super group and training for the programme: “It’s easy, a couple of hours a day the kids come with me, for my Spice Girl rehearsal Maksim comes with me, I get home in time to put the kids to bed and I’m up and around to wake them up in the morning.”
An emotional Jane Seymour didn’t stop to talk to press after the show having had an exhausting few days. After last week’s show the actress learned that her mother had passed away and Jane had to return to Britain for the funeral.
She kept on practising though and dedicated the tango to her mother, who she said would have wanted the show to go on.
Both Jane and Mel were awarded 27 out of a possible 30.
