Sharon Osbourne has reportedly agreed to compete in Strictly Come Dancing.

The Daily Mirror reports the former X Factor judge has been telling friends she will ‘definitely’ dance on the BBC One celebrity talent show, which goes head-to-head in the viewing schedules on Saturday nights with Simon Cowell’s singing show The X Factor.

A spokesperson for Sharon, 56, would only say: “Sharon gets approached to do loads of shows.”

The straight-talking music manager – who looks after her own husband, rocker Ozzy Osbourne – has apparently been signed by the BBC for around £100,000 to appear in Strictly.

A source told The Daily Mirror: “Sharon is already a huge name in TV and music, so she is perfect for the show.

“The fact she has been on The X factor means she is sure to have plenty to say when the two shows launch.

“Sharon verbally agreed the deal several days ago and will sign contracts in the coming weeks. She is so excited she is already telling her friends. Cowell won’t thank her.”

Sharon quit The X Factor and she was replaced by Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Cole.

She said in an interview Dannii Minogue was a factor in her leaving the show. Sharon said: “I didn’t fancy spending six months sitting next to her.”
