The singer won't be joining dancing partner AJ...
Fans have expressed their concern that Strictly favourite Mollie King won’t be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing tour 2018.
Neither the BBC nor Mollie herself have offered an explanation as to why she won’t be taking part, but the Saturdays’ singer has fuelled suspicions that she’s not happy with the decision by cryptically liking a number of tweets expressing fury at her exclusion.
One fan has even gone as far as to start a petition for Mollie to be included, and has been ferociously campaigning the cause over the past few days, with the hashtag, #MollieForThe StrictlyTour.
There are 625 signatures at the time of writing.
Fans are particularly angry at Mollie being snubbed due to how much she’s improved throughout the duration of the show, demonstrating the true ‘spirt of Strictly’.
And, in response to the decision, some fans have threatened to snub the tour:
Surprisingly, AJ Prichard, Mollie’s dancing partner and rumoured boyfriend, will be taking part in the live tour.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, the 23-year-old said: “I’m going to be on the tour, but Mollie isn’t unfortunately.
“I believe I’m just going to be doing some dancing with my professional partner Chloe.
“We haven’t really spoken about it, but I’m really excited to be travelling the country, and performing in these fantastic areas.”
AJ hasn’t, however, shed any light on why Mollie has been included, insisting that he’s none the wiser to the reasoning behind the decision.
However, a spokesperson for the Strictly tour said: “We take a limited number of couples on the UK tour, so unfortunately not everyone from the television series can appear.”
The couples confirmed for the tour are Gemma Atkinson and Aljaž Skorjanec, Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez, Susan Calman and Kevin Clifton, Davood Ghadami and Nadiya Bychkova, Joe McFadden and Katya Jones, Debbie McGee and Giovanni Pernice and Jonnie Peacock and Oti Mabuse.
