It seems that X Factor‘s Cheryl has already ditched her married name ‘Cole’ after fellow judge Simon Cowell introduced her as ‘Tweedy’, according to reports in The Sun.
Cheryl, 26, and her cheating husband, football star Ashley Cole, are just weeks away from divorcing, but Simon ‘stunned’ audiences at Monday’s London auditions for the ITV1 talent show by announcing: “And this is Cheryl… Tweedy.”
A witness commented that: “Cheryl’s face didn’t give much away. Simon was sort of joshing but she didn’t laugh or look annoyed.”
Simon’s announcement is the first public use of Cheryl’s maiden name since the couple’s split earlier this year.
As well as using her maiden name, the soon-to-be ex-WAG is apparently having the ‘Mrs C’ tattoo removed from her neck.
Pop star Cheryl’s record label now faces a challenge after her first album was released under the name ‘Cole’.
