Simon’s X Factor Halloween weekend horror for contestants: a double eviction

Simon Cowell’s not happy with contestants and so he has turned this weekend’s Halloween-themed show in double eviction fright nights…

ITV released a film of Simon telling the remaining 11 acts that there would be a twist this weekend – and he didn’t mean the dance.

“I think you all need a bit of a wake-up call,” Simon told the contestants. “So there are no second chances.”

This means that instead of just one act going home on the Sunday night, there will be an act going home tonight (Saturday)… And, let’s face it, that first act should be the horrifically bad Stevi Ritchie. Will it be, though?

What’s going to happen is this: the act with the lowest number of votes will go immediately on Saturday, without any chance to save themselves in the sing-off.

In Sunday night’s show, the bottom two acts will face each other – and judges Simon, Cheryl, Mel B and Louis Walsh – in the sing-off.

So, by the end of the weekend, there will be just nine acts remaining in the competition.

Here’s what each contestant is performing in this weekend’s Halloween special are:

Andrea Faustini, singing “Relight My Fire”, by Take That

Jack Walton, “Bleeding Love”, by Leona Lewis

Paul Akister, “Bat Out Of Hell”, Meatloaf

Lauren Platt, “Dark Horse”, by Katy Perry

Lola Saunders, “Crazy”, by Gnarls Barkley

Only The Young, “The Monster Mash”, by Bobby Pickett

Stereo Kicks, “Everybody”, by Backstreet Boys

Ben Haenow, “Highway to Hell”, by AC/DC

Fleur East, “Thriller”, by Michael Jackson

Jay James, “Mad World”, by Tears For Fears

Stevi Ritchie, “Music Of The Night”, from Phantom of the Opera

The X Factor continues on ITV, Saturday, November 1, 8.00pm.
