Mosaic artist Shazia Wahab has become the latest person to be fired by Sir Alan Sugar from The Apprentice.
Wahab, from south London, whose family hold a Guinness World Record for the number of degrees they have between them, was booted out after the girls’ team, led by bully boss Jenny Celerier, lost a laundry task.
Shazia said: “I’m shocked that I was fired. I actually don’t know (why). When I walked out I was in complete shock. I said I’d been stitched up.
“I don’t know what went through his (Sir Alan’s) mind. I don’t think he was given the facts to make a decision. Sir Alan also said that he’d been in the business a long time, for many, many years, and that he knew the good from the bad. But what was his impression of Jenny? I don’t know why he fired me.”
She talked about appearing on The Apprentice: “I discussed it with my father before he died. He said, ‘If you’re going to do it, do it to win it’.”
She added: “I don’t regret it. I regret the fact that I was fired because I don’t think I should have been.”
Wahab was brought back to the boardroom with fellow contestant Lucinda Ledgerwood.
